Bio

Omar Ezzeldine, Ed.D.听is an Adjunct Professor听at the USC听Rossier School of Education.听 In addition to teaching in the school鈥檚 Master of Arts in Teaching, Organizational Change and Leadership, Educational Leadership, Global Executive Education, and School Leadership Academy programs,听Omar serves on听the Part-Time Faculty Committee where he helps develop strategies and policies to support of our part-time faculty. He has taught at USC for 10 years and has helped develop several courses in the Master of Arts in Teaching program.听 Omar is an expert in the areas of teacher development, data-driven听decision-making, and school leadership.听Omar's graduate research focused on school听culture听and its effects on teacher retention. In this context of high teacher turnover and an increase in teacher retirements, his research is showing a strong impact as teachers stake greater shared interests in their school.

Omar is a Director in Educational Services for the Santa Ana Unified School District. Prior to this he worked at the Los Angeles County Office of Education and was an instructional coach, accountability coach, principal and teacher. As an听accomplished听school administrator and educator, he has听won awards including听Administrator听of the Year and the Golden Bell. He has presented the findings of his research and the听stories听of his success throughout California, and in Chicago and Washington, D.C.
