Bio

Danielle Silvaggio is a PhD student in Education at the University of Southern California, specializing in teacher education听with a focus on equity in mathematics and STEM learning. Her research focuses on STEM education, higher-order mathematical thinking, and the design of equitable math learning environments that expand access for historically underrepresented students.

Before beginning her doctoral studies, Danielle worked as a middle school mathematics teacher in urban San Diego. She later served as a Research Associate at the Jacobs Institute for Innovation in Education at the University of San Diego, contributing to multiple large-scale projects, including a National Science Foundation鈥揻unded study on spatial computational thinking, a Department of Education initiative to create equitable computer science pathways, and community-based evaluations of youth programs.

Danielle holds a Master鈥檚 in Education, Curriculum & Instruction, a Single Subject Mathematics Credential, and a B.A. in Mathematics from the University of San Diego.
